In commemoration to her iconic 16th Birthday, Naomi Nigusse sponsored a life-saving heart surgery by the money she mobilized among her family for 14 years old boy affected with rheumatic heart disease(RHD).
One day after the surgery Naomi visited the boy at the hospital and gave him a football jersey to express her unparalleled love for football.
Therefore the local volunteer cardiac team of Healing Valves πͺπΉ excited to announce that it has performed yesterday the 24th free heart surgery to a 14 years old boy from Jimma. The young boy at end stage heart failure was Lucky to be picked by an astute physician from Jimma and referred to Healing Valves πͺπΉ.
In a four hour taking surgery for rheumatic heart disease, the adhesion was released and the mitral valve was replaced. The boy is in a good postoperative condition and recovering well from his ailment. Rheumatic heart disease is the only long term complication of repeated tonsillitis.
