Post “Meskel” festivities “Healing Valves Ethiopia” delivered the 23rd free Cardiac Surgery successfully. The 16 years old boy from “Enjibara” was lucky to have two heart surgeries in one go in five hours taking open-heart surgery.
In addition to the severe Mitral valve stenosis due to repeated tonsillitis, the boy had severe left ventricular outflow tract obstruction (LVOTO) due to SAM.
After a successful mitral valve replacement and SAM excision the boy is in stable postoperative condition.
